On The Bridge Heading East.
Painted during my move to Shanghai, a move that would prove influential to how I would go on to depict cityscapes in my work.
I wanted to depict the overwhelming optimism of the move.
The metropolis at the other end of the bridge representing Shanghai symbolically if not literally. The fantasy depiction of the bridge symbolising my flight across the pond.
