The Artist, Model And Muse. 2007
A painting of a friend who posed for me as a life model. Following these sessions I encouraged her to study and work over what I had done, the composition is the result of this.
She approached the task with a certain level of anxiety, discomfort and trepidation before giving way to her own sense of freedom and artisitc curiosity. I tried to capture the point that her shyness gave way to liberty. it was an early study of psychology in portraits.
